Health & Safety
Your child/children’s health is one of our
greatest concerns. If you suspect that your child/children
is not well, please keep him/her home. Children should
be kept home if they show any of the following symptoms:
- Temperature of 100 degrees or more
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Persistent coughing
- Eye, ear and nasal (yellow/green) discharge
- Severe rash
- Sore throat
If your child/children becomes ill at school, you
or your emergency contact person will be notified.
Children may need to remain at home the following
day to assure that no further symptoms develop. Should
your child be sent home with fever above 100 degrees
he/she must be fever free for 24 hours prior to their
return. If your child/children has been exposed to
or contracts a contagious disease, he/she must be
kept home for the duration and the school should be
notified immediately. Documentation should be on file
for those children who have special medical needs.
